Draw Your Duck's Legs
The core mechanic in Duck Stilt Walker Puzzle is drawing legs directly on the screen. A dedicated window at the bottom of the display accepts mouse or touch input. You hold and drag to sketch a leg shape, then release to watch your duck attempt to walk on it. The physics engine responds to leg length, width, and angle, so a design that works on flat ground may fail on a steep block. [IMG_1]
Racing Against an Opponent
Each level places two ducks side by side. Your goal is to reach the flag before the rival duck does. The route is not a straight sprint; it includes blocks to climb and obstacles to step over. Lava lakes and deep pits act as hazards that end a run if your duck slips or loses balance. The opponent provides constant pressure, so a slow but stable leg design may lose even if it never falls.
Learning Through Trial and Error
When a duck moves slowly, slips, or cannot climb an obstacle, the solution is to redraw the legs. Longer legs may cover more ground per step but become unstable. Wider legs offer balance but can catch on blocks. Angled legs might help with climbing but reduce speed on flat sections. The game encourages repeated attempts, and a retry button lets you start over with a fresh design immediately. [IMG_2]
Accessible Design for All Ages
The controls are simple enough for young children: draw, release, and watch. There are no complex button combinations or timed inputs. The challenge comes from understanding how shape affects movement, which makes each level a small physics experiment. Full-screen support and mobile compatibility mean the game plays the same way on a phone, tablet, or desktop browser. The developer, Kelly Ray J, released it in January 2025 using WebGL technology.
